Post before last we talked about thankfulness. Thankfulness is the antidote to grumpiness (in my opinion). It stops you from dwelling on unmet desires and helps you to see what you really have in Christ and this world. It turns your eyes upwards and makes you grateful for what you already have. This world is quick to tell you of all the things you don't have and what you 'need'. The UK is consumer mad and this trickles down to our children too. We can feel like we're missing out, that everyone else has these things but its empty. As soon as we have it, a new desire arises, its never fulfilled. It can lead us to the sin of greed.
I want to encourage you to pursue thankfulness and therefore have created a free weekly thankfulness print out. You can start by filling out one different point a day and the following week increase to 2 and so on. Lets make a stand and choose to focus on Gods provision.
The free print out is a PDF which can be found on the left hand side of the home page. Just click on the icon, which is the blog photo to view.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Phil 4:8
